Writings for the Week of August 27th.
Hi, folks. This is where I would like to see you post your writings for this week. To post, click comment and type your piece or cut/paste it (if you are that computer savvy). Remember, this counts toward your two pieces of writing published this six weeks.
What Makes Me Proud
Students, write from my writing:
When I was little, riding the combine with my daddy wasn’t that much of a thrill.
Yesterday, it was so much fun. Luke, Lauren, and I got to ride the combine with Grandaddy. It was an awesome experience, and it is now one that I enjoy every chance I get.
Luke and Lauren loved it too. We were “cornin’” as Luke calls it. By the time we got off the combine, I was exhausted. They were a handful in such a small space, but they loved it. Luke had to sit in his seat, and Lauren spent a lot of time waving and blowing kisses to her cousin, Adam, who was driving the grain buggy.
Seeing that red combine in the field is a sight I always look forward to. It is such a massive, graceful machine. It is truly a wonder.
I makes me proud to think that my daddy does something so special. It is something that he can share with me and my kids and everyone else who stops by for a round or two in the field.
Now, what makes you proud?
Genres
This post is a trial run for my eighth graders. Let’s see how this works.
Tell me in two hundred words or less, eighth graders, what is your favorite genre to write?
Hey to everyone!
Hi, there! You have entered my blog which I hope will be a great site to publish my writing and the writings of my favorite authors-my students.
Once a week, I will post a comment on which I want my students to post their writings for the week. This will count as one of the two pieces per six weeks they are to publish.
I also hope to let everyone know what is going on in life. I know you all can’t wait.
Note: this is a secure educational sight.
